With this challenging topic World TB Day will be celebrated on March 24, one of the biggest challenges in global health. The disease affects 9 million people each year, and causes the death of about 1.5 million in the same period. The date is an opportunity for social and political mobilization to unite efforts towards the elimination of TB. For World TB Day 2015 global partners are being urged to continue with their support and commitment to achieve, manage and treat all people with tuberculosis and accelerate progress towards the common goal of eliminating the disease by 2035.
