World Hepatitis Day 2015 focuses on prevention of the disease
The World Hepatitis Day is celebrated every year on July 28th. The date is an opportunity to increase awareness, education and improving the understanding of viral hepatitis as a major global health problem. Viral hepatitis – a group of infectious diseases including hepatitis A, B, C, D and E – affect millions of people worldwide.
The theme of the 2015 campaign is “Prevent Hepatitis. Act now. “Viral hepatitis A-E cause infection and inflammation of the liver that may lead to liver cirrhosis, liver cancer and death.
