With the theme “Not beyond us,” the World Cancer Day 2015, to be held on February 4, will have a positive and proactive approach in the fight against cancer, noting that there are solutions at all stages of cancer, and that they are within our reach.
The 2015 campaign will be focused on four areas: Healthy living options; Promote early detection; Provide treatment for all; and Maximize the quality of life.
Empowering people to make healthy choices and reduce social and environmental factors for cancer risk is paramount in achieving the overall goal of reducing premature deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by 25% in 2025 and accomplish the objectives of World Cancer Declaration.
