Regulations governing clinical research in Traditional and Complementary Medicine (TCM) in Türkiye were issued on March 9, 2019, to enhance reliability and standardization. These regulations align with international agreements and Good Clinical Practices, focusing on ethical conduct and volunteer protection. The first TCM-specific ethics committee was established the same year, and currently, 12 ethics committees operate within universities. Committee members receive specialized training to ensure scientific and ethical oversight in TCM clinical research.
