The People’s Declaration for Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare (TCIH) is a global coalition of over 300 organizations representing practitioners, users, researchers, and educators. It calls for a healthcare system that is whole-person focused (physical, mental, social, spiritual), patient-centered, participatory, evidence-based, culturally respectful, community- and planet-centered, and sustainable. The Declaration urges adoption of the term TCIH, recognition of TCIH’s essential contribution to global health, and accelerated integration of TCIH practices into national health systems.
