Planetary Health is a global movement and scientific field focused on how human impacts on the environment affect health and well-being. Traditional knowledge is vital to Planetary Health approaches. In Latin America, efforts are growing: the Latin American Hub connects 10 countries and 15 institutions, and the first Planetary Health Congress was held in Chile in 2023. In Brazil, the Planetary Health Brazil initiative has been active since 2019, with 7 workgroups and an Ambassador Program. The São Paulo Declaration urges urgent, inclusive action to protect the planet and health.
