Fiocruz’s ObservaPICS (National Observatory of Traditional, Integrative and Complementary Health Knowledge and Practices) works to strengthen TCIM in Brazil, the Americas, and the Caribbean. Partnering with PAHO/WHO, ObservaPICS conducted research across 36 countries, identifying opportunities for international collaboration in areas like regulation, financing, and healthcare interventions. They also produced webinars, e-books, videos, and mapped TCIM practices, creating a repository of 245 open-access documents. Their work includes showcasing experiences from Bolivia and Peru and supporting Brazil’s SUS system, while advancing TCIM through technical cooperation and published research.
