Scientific Priorities of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) – United States. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) at the U.S. National Institutes of Health has outlined ten Top Scientific Priorities to guide its research agenda, aligned with the Whole Person Health approach. These priorities include research on whole person health, interoception, health promotion across the lifespan, implementation science, pain management, nutritional interventions, strengthening the research workforce, exploring mechanisms and biomarkers of mind-body approaches, supporting impactful clinical trials, and developing strategies to enhance scientific literacy and understanding of clinical research.
