International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

 

In 1987 the United Nations General Assembly recognized that even with the efforts of the international community, the global consumption of drugs is also a serious threat to public health, safety, to young people, the sovereignty of states, and directly affects the stability socioeconomic and political of countries.

Fighting  drugs originated the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, celebrated on June 26, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is  campaigning to raise awareness about the challenge that illicit drugs represent for society, and especially for young people.

Your goal is to mobilize support and inspire people to act in the fight against drug use and fight for an international society free of them.
