This service is maintained by SHERPA, with support from JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) and the Wellcome Trust. It is a development of the original publishers' listings produced by the RoMEO Project. The site allows searching by journal title or publisher of summary of permissions that are normally given as part of each publisher's copyright transfer agreement. Journals are classified according to restrictions imposed by the publishers which govern archiving rights or activities.
