The 11th General Programme of Work (GPW) 2006-2015 provides a global health agenda for WHO, its Member States and the international community that stems from an analysis of the current global health situation. From the broader global health agenda it then positions WHO's comparative advantages, its core functions, the main challenges it faces and its priorities for the future. These priorities are being further developed in the six-year Medium-term strategic plan (MTSP) 2008-2013 which will define strategic objectives for WHO and its Member States.
