The work of The Institute ranges from basic laboratory research in molecular cell biology and radiation physics through to clinical trials involving cancer patients, to healthcare research and to epidemiological studies in the human population. The research aims at translating advances in diagnosis and molecular mechanisms to improvements in treatment. It works with all the major cancer charities in the UK.
