The Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU)

https://www.ctsu.org/public/

It's a pilot project sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for the support of a national network of physicians to participate in NCI-sponsored Phase III cancer treatment trials. Cooperative Group sites located within the United States and Canada are currently eligible for participation in the CTSU. The CTSU has opened its protocol menu to qualified medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists and hematologists who are not Cooperative Group members. The new policy allows cancer patients anywhere in the USA to participate more easily in advanced (Phase III) treatment trials.

Originator(s): National Cancer Institute (NCI)
Resource added in: 25/09/2002
Objective: CTSU Objective: Increase physician and patient access to NCI-sponsored clinical trials by developing an efficient enrollment procedure that will facilitate cross-Group accrual, and permit non-Group members to enroll patients on NCI-sponsored trials.
