This document aims to support healthcare researchers in carrying out effectiveliterature searches according to an agreed set of recommendations. This document provides guidance for the following key steps: planning a literature search; identifying key sources of information; guidance in carrying out an effective literature search; documenting the search process. Structured guidance and a checklist column are provided for each section so that researchers can quickly identify and tick off the necessary elements.
