The goals of the CCDD is to increase the understanding of normal and abnormal craniofacial development, to foster integrated biomedical, behavioral, social science, and health services research, to facilitate transfer of basic, clinical, and applied research to effective health care interventions and marketable products, to promote education of scientists, health care professionals and the public concerning the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of craniofacial disease and disorders, and to enhance multidisciplinary clinical services and related programs: screening, diagnosis, management, and counseling.
