Health Economics Research Centre - HERC

HERC is part of the Department of Public Health of Oxford University. HERC performs applied and methodological research in health economics. It was established in 1996 under the Directorship of Alastair Gray as a collaboration between the University of Oxford and the NHS Executive. HERC collaborates with and supports other academic and NHS research, as well as undertaking its own independent research. Members of HERC publish widely in peer-reviewed journals. HERC supervises research students and undertakes teaching within the University. It also runs its own professional courses for health economists and health professionals. HERC hosts regular seminars in Oxford at which health economists discuss their recent work.
