In May 2013, the 66th World Health Assembly unanimously adopted a Global Action Plan 2014-2019 – Towards Universal Eye Health for the prevention of avoidable blindness and visual impairment.
Your goal is to reduce avoidable visual impairment as a global public health problem and ensure access to rehabilitation services for visually impaired people by improving access to eye care services that are integrated into health systems.
This year’s campaign theme is “Eyes, Care for all”, which reflects the issue of importance in taking treatment will all, including the most vulnerable and needy groups. Think about how to ensure that everyone has access to eye care, without any distinction of gender, geographic or financial.
