Traditional medicine is as old as humanity itself, and continues to be a vital resource for people's health and well-being today. Through the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Centre in Jamnagar, we are supporting research to harness the power of these ancient practices. At World Health Assembly 78, WHO Member States consider the new Global Strategy for Traditional Medicine. And in December 2025, WHO will hold the second Global Traditional Medicine Summit in Delhi together with the Government of India. WHO is committed to strengthening the evidence base and bringing ancient traditions and modern innovations together for Health for All
